"Rhody Blossoms"

My interest in photography started when I was about 10 years

old and received my first camera. From there, I progressed

to an "instamatic" and then purchased a 35mm Range Finder

in 1970.  My younger brother "appropriated" that one, as he

was also bitten by the bug.  I found out about SLR's and purchased a Minolta SRT101 and then started adding to my camera bag with many different lenses; from 90mm Macro

to 100-500 Zoom, shooting mostly on slide film.

I joined the Brockton Color Slide Club at the urging of Jack Alexander, with whom I worked.  That club went through

many changes, including its name, as it became the Greater Brockton Camera Club.  I served as its Treasurer for many

years.  I enjoyed competing in the various categories at the

club, earning many ribbons in Nature, Photo-Journalism,

Photo-Travel, Portraiture, and Open categories. On several occasions I was honored with "Slide of the Year.”

During this time at GBCC, I was asked to join CAMNATS,

a nature photography organization, which is by invitation

only. My portfolio was reviewed and accepted.

My first digital camera was a point and shoot Fuji, but I

have now progressed to a Nikon D3000.  I still find the

technology of the digital camera totally amazing  and the

instant feedback blows my mind.

My interests include flowers, action, travel and nature.
